When Should I Book?
24-26 Weeks
Good facial detail. Baby still has space to move. Clear features becoming visible.
27-29 Weeks
Optimal timing. Best facial definition. Chubby cheeks developing. Recommended window.
30-32 Weeks
Mature features visible. Less space for movement. May be difficult if baby faces backwards.
Recommended: We recommend booking between 27-29 weeks for the best combination of facial detail and baby positioning. At this stage, your baby has developed chubby cheeks and recognisable features whilst still having room to move.

What if my baby won't show their face?
We allow extra time and may ask you to walk around or have a snack to encourage movement. If we still cannot get good images, we offer a complimentary return visit within 2 weeks at no additional charge.
Is 3D/4D scanning safe for my baby?
Yes, 3D/4D scans use the same ultrasound technology as standard 2D scans. The equipment is approved for medical use and poses no known risks to mother or baby. We follow all safety guidelines set by the British Medical Ultrasound Society.
How many people can attend the scan?
We welcome up to 4 family members to share this special moment. Children are welcome, and we have a comfortable viewing area with a large screen so everyone can see baby clearly.
What's the difference between 3D and 4D?
3D ultrasound creates still three-dimensional images of your baby. 4D adds the element of time, showing real-time movement—essentially a 3D video. You'll see your baby yawning, stretching, and moving in real-time.
