These Terms and Conditions govern your use of ultrasound-scan services provided by London Ultrasound. By booking an appointment, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding with your booking.
Your appointment is confirmed once you receive a booking confirmation email. Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled time to complete any necessary paperwork.
If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may need to reschedule your appointment. A cancellation fee may apply depending on notice given.
We accept payment by credit/debit card, bank transfer, or cash. Payment is required at the time of booking or on the day of your appointment.
If paying via private health insurance, you must obtain pre-authorisation from your insurer before your appointment. You remain responsible for payment if your insurer declines the claim.
Refunds are provided for cancellations made with 24+ hours' notice. Refunds are processed within 5-10 working days to the original payment method.
We provide diagnostic ultrasound-scan services and therapeutic injection procedures. We do not provide treatment, prescriptions, or ongoing medical management. You should consult your GP or specialist consultant for treatment decisions.
Ultrasound-scanning has limitations and cannot detect all abnormalities. A normal scan does not guarantee absence of disease. Further investigations may be required based on clinical findings.
Pregnancy scans cannot guarantee a healthy baby or detect all abnormalities. Some conditions may not be visible on ultrasound or may develop later in pregnancy. We follow NHS Fetal Anomaly Screening Programme (FASP) guidelines.
You will receive immediate verbal results after your scan. Detailed written reports are provided within 24 hours via email and post. Reports are also sent to your GP with your consent.
If we identify urgent findings requiring immediate medical attention, we will inform you immediately and contact your GP or arrange emergency referral as appropriate.
All reports are prepared by qualified sonographers and reviewed by consultant radiologists. However, interpretation of ultrasound images involves clinical judgement and a small margin of error exists.
By attending your appointment, you consent to:
We maintain professional indemnity insurance covering all clinical services. Our liability is limited to the amount covered by our insurance policy.
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including equipment failure, staff illness, or force majeure events.
If you are dissatisfied with our services, please contact us immediately at [email protected]. We will investigate all complaints thoroughly and respond within 28 days. You may also contact the Care Quality Commission (CQC) if you remain unsatisfied.
We process your personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Please see our Privacy Policy for full details of how we handle your information.
We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of revised terms.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by English law. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
